Privacy Policy

Baba Yoga Studio (“we”, “us”) runs an online yoga studio. This policy explains what information we collect from you, why we collect it, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what we need to run your classes, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and name, plus a phone number, gender, and birth date if you choose to share them.
• Health notes — anything you voluntarily tell us about injuries, pregnancy, or conditions so your instructor can adapt your practice. Sharing this is entirely optional, and it is visible only to your instructor.
• Practice activity — which classes you sign up for and attend, videos you save, and private sessions you book.
• Waiver record — the liability waiver you sign, including the name you typed and when you signed it.
• Payment records — your payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep only a record of what was paid and when.

How we use it

• To sign you in (we email you a sign-in link instead of using passwords).
• To send you class links, reminders, and booking confirmations.
• To let your instructor prepare for your classes and private sessions.
• To bill your membership and private sessions through Stripe.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for marketing. We send only transactional email related to your membership and classes, plus the newsletter if you subscribed to it (unsubscribe anytime by replying).

Who processes your data

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the studio, each of which handles your data only on our behalf: Vercel (website hosting), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Bunny (video streaming). Live classes take place on Google Meet, which is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account exists. If you cancel your membership, your account and history remain so you can come back; if you want them gone, email us and we will delete your account and personal information, keeping only the payment records we are legally required to retain.

Your choices

• You can view and edit your details on your profile page at any time.
• Health notes, phone, gender, and birth date are always optional — leave them blank or clear them whenever you like.
• To access, correct, or delete your information, email hello@babayogastudio.com.

Cookies

We use a single, essential sign-in cookie so the site knows who you are. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

The studio is intended for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and note the new date at the top.
